ULUM ISLAMIYYAH The Malaysian Journal of Islamic Sciences (Special Issue IHEC 03-2021) [August 2021]

Welcome to the 3rd and final volume of special issues for the 4th USIM International Health Conference (IHEC 2020) held in conjunction with the 3rd International Conference on Medicine and Health Sciences (ICHMS) on 16 & 17 December 2020. This sequel to the 1st volume published in April and 2nd volume published in June continues to present selected papers from the conference with the theme ‘Healthcare in Pandemic Era: “The New Norm”’.  These articles shared by conference participants span a variety of issues faced in healthcare as well as medical/ dental education setting during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic that was declared on 11 March 2020. However simple or challenging these studies and reflection of experiences may seem to be now, we shall remember that they all emerged from difficult times that we were forced to endure. Fifteen months into this pandemic, these experiences have helped us reach where we are today, as we continue to navigate through this crisis.
